Cathay Pacific offers flights to Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) from Frankfurt Airport (FRA), with a layover in Hong Kong. Flights from FRA to PEK take around 15 hours 15 minutes, including the layover, and bring you to Terminal 3 in Beijing.
Upon your arrival in Beijing
Taxis are readily available at the airport and will transport you downtown in approximately 35 minutes. The Airport Express Line train also departs regularly from Terminal 3 and will get you to the city centre in around 20 minutes.

Situated near many of the ancient temples and beautiful monuments throughout the city are some of Beijing’s architectural masterpieces, such as the Capital Museum Building, the CCTV Headquarters, and the National Centre for the Performing Arts.
To indulge in the city’s delicious dining scene, head to the northeastern neighbourhood of Sanlitun, where you can sample local favourites like Peking roast duck and sweet and savoury Qianlong cabbage.
Shopping enthusiasts will find everything they need in Wangfujing, which is home to premium brands and traditional Chinese crafts, trinkets, and souvenirs. While here, you can also find many delicious street food stalls and try numerous delicacies, including ‘chuanr' (lamb kebabs) and ‘tanghulu’ (candied fruits).
About an hour west of Beijing is the magnificent 1,700-year-old Tanzhe Temple. Spanning over 25,000 square metres, you can immerse yourself in the historical side of this Buddhist landmark and explore the surrounding area. Be sure to visit the Stone Fish, which is deep green in colour and cut from a stony meteorite that contains bronze. We also recommend seeing the famous Emperor Tree and Empress Tree, which are over 1,000 years old and stand over 30 metres tall. To enjoy uninterrupted, panoramic views, head to the double-floored Vairochana Pavilion.
