    Cathay membership FAQ

What is the difference between Status Points and Asia Miles?

Status Points determine your specific Cathay membership tier and the privileges that come with it. These revert to zero at the commencement of every Cathay membership year following a renewal, upgrade, or downgrade in status. Asia Miles functions as an exchangeable reward currency designed to redeem flight tickets and everyday lifestyle rewards, and remains active for a duration of three years.
