Adventure enthusiasts will appreciate Baiyun Mountain, which is just 20 minutes away from the city centre and can be explored on foot or via cable car. While here, enjoy a relaxing stroll through peaceful gardens and beautiful ponds before heading to Moxing Ridge, which is the highest point of Baiyun Mountain.

Guangzhou is also the ideal starting point for a day trip as there are many destinations to choose from, including Zhuhai. Situated approximately 90 minutes away by car, this thriving city offers a lot of memorable experiences. Start by admiring the unique architecture of A-Ma Temple, which was built in honour of Mazu - the Chinese sea goddess. From there, head to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, which is home to a wide selection of amusement rides and a breathtaking oceanarium.
