Cathay Pacific offers flights to Sapporo New Chitose Airport (CTS) from Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), with a layover at Hong Kong International Airport. Flights from CGK to CTS take around 12 hours 45 minutes, including the layover, and bring you to Terminal I in Sapporo.

Upon your arrival in Sapporo

To reach Sapporo from the airport, we recommend taking the Rapid Airport line, which will take around 40 minutes to get you to the city centre. Taxis are also available from just outside the terminal and will take you wherever you need to be in just under an hour.

The only one of its kind in Japan, the Sapporo Beer Museum can also be found nearby the city centre. Here, you can sample and explore the history of Sapporo’s eponymous beer, which is also found in restaurants and bars across the city. Eat like a local and pair Sapporo’s signature brew with culinary specialities such as ‘jingisukan’ (grilled mutton dish) or a hearty soup curry.

We also recommend a visit to one of Sapporo’s enchanting onsen resorts – several of which benefit from a backdrop of Hokkaido’s beautiful snow-capped mountains.
