Our Price Promise applies to: 

  • Bookings made on www.cathaypacific.com/be that depart from Brussels and does not apply to bookings made via the Cathay Pacific mobile app and other Cathay Pacific channels (including call centres)
  • Claims that contain identical: 
    • Cathay Pacific flight numbers (3 digit 'CX' flight numbers only)
    • Number and type of travellers, including the number of adults and children
    • Travel dates
    • Travel itinerary and routes
    • Cabin class , fare type (light, essential, flexible) and sub-class (O, Q, N etc..) 
    • Booking, fare and cancellation conditions (Fares purchased as a part of package , discounted by use of promotional codes, cash-back from travel agency's own promotions, coupons, credits, loyalty, redemption or other non-cash methods are not eligible)
  • Bookings paid and ticketed in full in Euros (EUR)
  • With an itinerary only with flights operated by Cathay Pacific Airways that originate from Brussels Airport.

How to make a claim ?

  • Website address and company logo
  • Full itinerary with flight numbers
  • Breakdown of the cabin such as fare category (light,essential,flexible) and sub-class (O, Q, N etc..)
  • Total costs of the booking fees and charges
  • Breakdown of the fare and taxes
  • Timestamp, with date and time clearly visible

4. Price Promise refund received

If the claim is successful, you will receive a refund in the price difference via the original payment method to purchase the ticket within 3-4 weeks of approval.

1. Price Promise is a promotion offered by Cathay Pacific Airways Limited (“Cathay Pacific”) under which Cathay Pacific will match the price of an Equivalent Flight (as defined below) offered by an Eligible Travel Agent (as defined below) when you book an Eligible Flight (as defined below), subject to these terms and conditions. 

2. The Price Promise only applies to flight bookings for Cathay Pacific marketed and operated flights made on http://www.cathaypacific.com/be that depart from Brussels (BRU) only and does not apply to bookings made via the Cathay Pacific mobile app and other Cathay Pacific channels (including through Customer Pacific’s Customer Care call centres) (“Eligible Flight”). 

3. Eligible Flights must be flight bookings only. Any flight bookings that are made together with any hotel, car hire, travel insurance, or other non-flight products are not eligible. Eligible Flights do not include any non-Cathay Pacific marketed and operated flights (for example, codeshare flights and flights operated by an airline other than Cathay Pacific are not Eligible Flights). Any flight booking itinerary containing any non-Cathay Pacific marketed and operated flights will render the whole itinerary booking not eligible under Price Promise. 

4. Eligible Flights must be denominated and paid for in Euros. All flight booking fees including card fees equivalent to those used to make the booking of the Eligible Flight when comparing with all flight booking fees of the Equivalent Flight offered by an Eligible Travel Agent are covered under Price Promise. 

5. The Eligible Flight must be paid for in full and issued by Cathay Pacific. It cannot be a temporary reservation, a dummy flight reservation, a holding reservation, or any other form of reservation or booking besides a fully paid and issued booking. 

6. An “Eligible Travel Agent” means an online travel agent with a registered address in Belgium. 

7. An “Equivalent Flight” means a flight offered by an Eligible Travel Agent that contains the following information that must be identical to the Eligible Flight booking made: 

a. Cathay Pacific flight numbers (3 digit ‘CX’ flight numbers only); 

b. number and type of travellers, including the number of adults and children; 

c. travel dates; 

d. travel itinerary and routes; 

e. cabin class, fare type (light, essential, flex) and sub-class (O, Q, N, etc.); and 

f. booking, fare, and cancellation conditions (subject to clause 8 below regarding restrictions on eligible fares), 

g. and the fare must be denominated in Euros. 

8. An Equivalent Flight must not be: 

a. an airfare that is not publicly available, such as travel industry, corporate, negotiated or other private fares, including any that require an access code or login; 

b. airfares discounted by use of promotional codes, cash-back, or any other means by the Eligible Travel Agent's own promotions, coupons, credits, loyalty, redemption or any other methods; 

c. any airfares that are offered by the Eligible Travel Agency that are lower due to manifest error; and/or 

d. airfares for dummy flights or temporary bookings. 

9. To make a claim under the Price Promise: 

a. you must take a screenshot of the Equivalent Flight that clearly shows the: 

i. website address and company logo of the Eligible Travel Agent;  

ii. full itinerary of the flight with flight number; 

iii. breakdown of the cabin class, fare type (light, essential, flexible) and sub-class (O, Q, N, etc.); 

iv. total cost of the booking, including fees and charges; 

v. breakdown of the fare and taxes; and  

vi. timestamp, with the date and time of the screenshot, and  

b. complete the claim form (available on the “Price Promise” page) and submit it within 24 hours of the time you made your booking of the Eligible Flight. 

10. The full screenshot must be unedited and taken within 24 hours, but after you have completed your booking(s) on our website (www. cathaypacific.com/be). The claim will not be accepted if the timestamp on the screenshot is before you made your Eligible Flight booking.  

11. Your claim will not be accepted if you fail to comply with these terms and conditions, which include, for example any of the following circumstances: 

a. Submitting any other form of evidence other than the required screenshot; 

b. The travel agent offering the fare is not an Eligible Travel Agent; 

c. You provide fare quotes from comparison sites; 

d. Claims that are submitted after 24 hours from your Eligible Flight booking; 

e. Instances where the Equivalent Flight fares are lower due to manifest error; 

f. Fares purchased as part of package holidays; 

g. Fares on a website that is not operated by an Eligible Travel Agent; 

h. Bookings that are not denominated, paid and ticketed in full in Euros (EUR) (for example, any conversion of currencies of the amounts paid for the Eligible Flight booking or payable for the Equivalent Flight from a currency that is not in Euros to Euros in the claim form is not allowed); 

i. Bookings with an itinerary that do not solely contain flights operated by Cathay Pacific Airways that originate from Brussels (BRU) (for example, if the itinerary also contains any codeshare flights or flights operated by other airlines); 

j. You cancel or refunded your relevant Eligible Flight booking; 

k. Airfares that are not publicly available such as travel industry, corporate, negotiated or other private fares including any that require an access code or login; and/or 

l. Resubmitted claims or multiple claims for the same Eligible Flight booking. 

12. The Price Promise is subject to the standard booking Terms and Conditions for flights booked online at http://www.cathaypacific.com/be 

13. To respond to your claim, we will have to directly get in touch with you. At Cathay Pacific, we are committed to protecting your personal data, please familiarise yourself with our data privacy policies. 

14. Verification of a successful claim shall be completed within 5 working days. Following verification, refunds may require up to 3–4 weeks to be credited to the customer’s bank account, subject to the processing times of the customer’s banking institution. Confirmation of such timeframes shall be communicated to the customer by email upon completion of the claim process. 

15. Cathay Pacific reserves the right to suspend, withdraw, or amend the Price Promise (including these terms and conditions) as necessary, including for reasons of Force Majeure, economic, organisational, technical, or legal reasons (including to comply with any applicable legal requirements, to prevent fraud, ensure fairness, etc.). Cathay Pacific may also suspend, withdraw or amend the Price Promise (including these terms and conditions) for its commercial reasons in the normal course of its business. Any material updates or amendments to these terms will be posted on this page, with a notice period of one month prior to any changes taking effect. “Force Majeure” means any event that is not within the reasonable control of Cathay Pacific. 

16. Cathay Pacific excludes its liability to the extent permitted by applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cathay Pacific will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages or losses of any kind.  

17. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Belgium. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be submitted to the courts of Belgium.
