With our Price Promise, you can purchase our fares with confidence. If you find an identical flight operated by Cathay Pacific sold elsewhere for a lower price that meets the requirements stated below, you will receive a refund on the fare difference up to a maximum of CAD120 per ticket.
Bookings made on our website (www.cathaypacific.com/ca) that depart from Canada and does not apply to bookings made via the Cathay Pacific mobile app and other Cathay Pacific channels (including call centres)
Fares found on a third-party site that are identical in the following ways to your existing booking with Cathay Pacific:
Bookings with an itinerary including flights operated by Cathay Pacific Airways that originate in Canada (Vancouver and Toronto)
Where the competing fare is sold by an Eligible Site and is quoted in CAD (without using currency converter)
Where the price of the competing fare is at least CAD10 (the “Minimum Difference”) lower than the same fare on the Cathay Pacific website
Website address and company logo
Full itinerary with flight numbers, travel dates, and route
Breakdown of the cabin class, fare type (Light, Essential, Flex) and sub-class (O, Q, N, etc.)
Number and type of travellers, including the number of adults and children
Total costs of the booking fees and charges
Breakdown of the fare and taxes
Booking, fare and cancellation conditions
Timestamp, with date and time clearly visible
Complete the claim form and submit within 24 hours of your ticket purchase.
You will be notified by email within 3-5 business days as to whether your claim is approved or not.
If the claim is approved, you will receive a refund in the amount of the price difference, up to CAD120 per ticket, via the original payment method used to purchase the ticket through the Cathay Pacific website.
1. The "Price Promise" program only applies to bookings made on our website (www.cathaypacific.com/ca) that depart from Canada and does not apply to bookings made via the Cathay Pacific mobile app and other Cathay Pacific channels (including call centres).
2. The ”Price Promise” program only applies to the total fare with Cathay Pacific and does not apply to meals, hotel, car hire, travel insurance, or other non-flight products purchased.
3. The maximum Price Promise refund is CAD120 per ticket. If you submit a Price Promise claim that complies with these terms and conditions with a difference that is greater than CAD120, you will receive a maximum refund of up to CAD120. Any additional difference between the price you paid and the fare on the Eligible Site will not be refunded.
4. The competing fare, including all fees, must be lower than the total fare, including all fees, on the Cathay Pacific booking.
5. Fares discounted by the Eligible Site’s own or any other third party’s promotions, coupons, credits, loyalty, redemption or other non-cash methods, or purchased as part of a package are not eligible for the Price Promise program.
6. A claim under the Price Promise program will not be accepted in the following circumstances:
The claim cannot be verified due to lack of evidence (a screenshot of the fare difference is an example of evidence that may be provided) or inadequate evidence (e.g., the screenshot does not include all details required) as determined by Cathay Pacific
Fare quotes from comparison sites
Claims that are submitted after 24 hours from your Cathay Pacific booking
Instances where the lower fares are the result of pricing errors
The price difference is below the Minimum Difference
Fares purchased as part of package holidays
Fares on a website that is not operated by an online travel agent with a registered business address in Canada. Websites that compare fares across multiple third-party websites are not Eligible Sites for the purpose of the Price Promise program
Bookings that are not paid and ticketed in full in Canadian dollars (CAD)
Bookings with an itinerary that does not solely contain flights operated by Cathay Pacific Airways that originate in Canada (Vancouver or Toronto)
Cancelled or refunded bookings made on www.cathaypacific.com/ca
Fares that are not publicly available such as travel industry, corporate, negotiated or other private fares including any that require an access code or login
Fares discounted by use of promotional codes, cash-back from travel agency's own promotions, coupons, credits, loyalty, redemption or other non-cash methods
Resubmitted claims or multiple claims for one booking
Fares that include codeshare flights or flights operated by other airlines
The fare submitted otherwise violates these terms and conditions
7. Cathay Pacific is not responsible for lost, late, or misdelivered claim forms, or for delays caused by technical reasons beyond its control.
8. The Cathay Pacific Price Promise is subject to the standard booking Terms and Conditions for flights booked online at www.cathaypacific.com/ca.
9. Claims are subject to review by Cathay Pacific and it reserves the right to make the final decision on whether a claim is eligible for refund.
10. If you submit a Price Promise claim, Cathay Pacific will endeavor to decide your claim within 3-5 business days. If you wish to cancel your flight for a refund, you must cancel your flight within 24 hours and in accordance with Cathay Pacific’s 24-hour free cancellation policy, regardless of the status of your Price Promise claim. You will not be eligible for a refund through Cathay Pacific’s 24-hour free cancellation policy if your flight is not cancelled within 24 hours, whether we deny or accept your Price Promise claim. 11. Cathay Pacific reserves the right to suspend, withdraw, or amend the Cathay Pacific Price Promise. Any updates or amendments to these terms will be posted on this page, and Cathay Pacific will use reasonable efforts to publish a notice period of approximately one month prior to any changes taking effect. In certain circumstances, a one month notice period may not be possible due to exigent circumstances and you release Cathay Pacific from any claims arising from failure to provide adequate notice.
