2. Receive HKPM passcode

Upon confirmation of your booking, a passcode will be displayed in voucher code field on the flight confirmation page and in the confirmation email sent to your inbox.

3. Enter your passcode on Cityline landing page

Visit this dedicated page, select Cathay Exclusive Offer HK$0 and fill in your passcode to redeem one ticket. You can only redeem the ticket in the next calendar month. If you wish to book for a later month, please visit the site later.

4. Visit Hong Kong Palace Museum

Event ticket will be sent to your email, please present your event ticket QR code for admission.

The Forbidden City and The Palace of Versailles

China-France Cultural Encounters in the Seventeenth and Eighteenth Centuries.

This special exhibition presents nearly 150 spectacular treasures, primarily from the Palace Museum and the Palace of Versailles, and explores the fascinating encounters between China and France in science, technology, arts, culture, and philosophy during the seventeenth to the eighteenth centuries. This exhibition tells stories of the unique bonds between China and France forged by mutual admiration and respect for each other, which provided new incentives for skills, knowledge, and art forms. Together, peoples in China and France created a splendid chapter in the history of cultural exchanges among world civilisations.

Terms and conditions

The offer is provided to you by Cathay Pacific Airways Limited ("Cathay Pacific”) and Hong Kong Palace Museum ("Museum”).
The offer starts from 20 December 2024 00:00 to 30 April 2025 23:59 (both dates inclusive, Hong Kong time) ("Promotion Period”).
The offer is applicable to customers ("Eligible Customers") who purchase a flight ticket at www.cathaypacific.com using discount code ‘CNHKPMFREE’ with flights operated by Cathay originating from the Chinese Mainland to Hong Kong during the promotion period ("Eligible Ticket”).
Eligible Customers will receive an unique Hong Kong Palace Museum Special Exhibition Ticket passcode (“Passcode”) via flight booking confirmation email. With each Passcode, Eligible Customers are eligible to redeem one Hong Kong Palace Museum Special Exhibition Ticket (“Special Exhibition Ticket”) on the dedicated Cityline page.
Only one Passcode will be provided per flight booking, regardless of the number of passengers travelling in the same booking.
The offer is limited to the first 200 bookings for the Eligible Tickets, on a first-come-first-served basis. In the event that the quota has been met, Eligible Customers will still be able to proceed with their booking for the Eligible Tickets and at the flight booking confirmation page, the code will be displayed as ‘voucher quota has been exceeded’.
To redeem the Special Exhibition Ticket, Eligible Customers must visit the dedicated Cityline page, select “Cathay Exclusive Offer HK$0” and enter the Passcode at the passcode field.
The Passcode can only be used to redeem one Special Exhibition Ticket for admission in the calendar month of redemption and the following calendar month. For example, using the Passcode in December allows redemption for admission in December and January.
Each Passcode can be used once only.
The Passcode must be used before the end of the Promotion Period. Cathay Pacific shall not be responsible for any unused Passcode, nor any unused Special Exhibition Ticket.
Redemptions of Special Exhibition Ticket are subject to the availability of the selected date. Cathay Pacific does not guarantee availability for any specific date requested.
The last admission date of the Special Exhibition Ticket is 04 May 2025.
With a Special Exhibition Ticket, you can access to thematic exhibitions (Gallery 1 to 7) and Special Exhibition (Gallery 9) “The Forbidden City and The Palace of Versailles: China-France Cultural Encounters in the Seventeenth and Eighteenth Centuries” when the Hong Kong Palace Museum is open to public.
Entry may be refused if any details on the Special Exhibition Ticket have been omitted or altered or if the Special Exhibition Ticket is damaged, defaced or otherwise mutilated, especially the QR code which must be scanned for admission. Cathay Pacific accepts no responsibility for lost ticket.
Special Exhibition Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable either in whole or in part, for cash or for any other items.
The offer cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions, discounts and special arrangement.
Visitors aged under 12 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above to enter the Museum. Each Special Exhibition Ticket is valid for one time admission only, regardless of age.
