Our Price Promise to you

With our Price Promise, enjoy enhanced value and confidence when booking our airfares. If you find an identical fare at a lower price on an UK travel agency website (in Great British Pounds) after you complete a booking on our website, simply lodge a price match claim with us within 24 hours from your purchase, and you'll get the fare difference refunded.

Our Price Promise applies to: 

  • Bookings made on www.cathaypacific.com/gb that depart from the United Kingdom and does not apply to bookings made via the Cathay Pacific mobile app and other Cathay Pacific channels (including call centres)
  • Claims that contain identical: 
    • Cathay Pacific flight numbers (3 digit 'CX' flight numbers only)
    • Number and type of travellers, including the number of adults and children
    • Travel dates
    • Travel itinerary and routes
    • Cabin class , fare type (light, essential, flexible) and sub-class (O, Q, N etc..) 
    • Booking, fare and cancellation conditions (Fares purchased as a part of package , discounted by use of promotional codes, cash-back from travel agency's own promotions, coupons, credits, loyalty, redemption or other non-cash methods are not eligible)
  • Bookings paid and ticketed in full in Great British Pounds (GBP)
  • With an itinerary only with flights operated by Cathay Pacific Airways that originate in the United Kingdom (London Heathrow and Manchester)

How to make a claim ?

  1. The "Price Promise" only applies to the total airfare with Cathay Pacific and does not apply to hotel, car hire, travel insurance, or other non-flight products purchased.
  2. The "Price Promise" only applies to bookings made on our website (www.cathaypacific.com/gb) that depart from the United Kingdom and does not apply to bookings made via the Cathay Pacific mobile app and other Cathay Pacific channels (including call centers)
  3. The comparison of all fees including card fees equivalent to those used to make the booking is also covered under our promise.
  4. The full screenshot must be unedited and taken within 24 hours, but after you have completed your booking(s) on our website (www. cathaypacific.com/gb). The claim will not be accepted if the timestamp on the screenshot is before you made your booking(s) on our website (www. cathaypacific.com/gb). 
  5. Airfares discounted by use of promotional codes, cash-back from travel agency's own promotions, coupons, credits, loyalty, redemption or other non-cash methods are excluded from the promotion.
  6. A match in airfares will not be accepted in the following circumstances:
    • Lack of evidence (a screenshot of the fare difference is an example of evidence that may be provided) hence the claim cannot be verified
    • Fare quotes from comparison sites
    • Claims that are logged after 24 hours from your Cathay Pacific booking
    • Instances where the fares are lower due to an error made by an online travel agent in the U.K
    • Fares purchased as part of package holidays
    • Fares on a website that is not operated by a travel agent based in the U.K
    • Bookings that are not paid and ticketed in full in Great British Pounds (GBP)
    • Bookings with itinerary that don't solely contain flights operated by Cathay Pacific Airways that originate in the United Kingdom ( London Heathrow and Manchester)
    • Cancelled or refunded bookings made on our website
    • Airfares that are not publicly available such as travel industry, corporate, negotiated or other private fares including any that require an access code or login
    • Airfares discounted by use of promotional codes, cash-back from travel agency's own promotions, coupons, credits, loyalty, redemption or other non-cash methods
    • Resubmitted claims or multiple claims for one booking
    • Airfares that include codeshare flights or flights operated by other airlines
  7. The Cathay Same Day Price Promise is subject to the standard booking Terms and Conditions for flights booked online at www.cathaypacific.com/gb
  8. Cathay Pacific reserves the right to suspend, withdraw, or amend the Price Promise as necessary. Any updates or amendments to these terms will be posted on this page, with a notice period of one month prior to any changes taking effect.
    1. Amendment as of 20th March;   Customers now have up to 24 hours to submit their claim as opposed to 'Same Day Price Promise' where claims had to be submitted by 11:59pm on the day of purchase.
