- This Offer provides eligible students with certain benefits when booking an Eligible Ticket (as defined below), which may include discounted fares, extra checked baggage allowance, and complimentary flight change, subject to the fare class and type of the Eligible Ticket as set out in paragraph 12 below.
- The promotional period is from 17 November 2025 10:00:00AM to 31 March 2026 23:59:59AM (Saudi Arabia time) both dates inclusive (the “Promotional Period”). The departure period is from 17 November 2025 to 31 October 2026.
- This Offer is available to full-time and part-time students, irrespective of their study location or age, enrolled in an education institution accredited by an organization recognized by a relevant government authority at the time of their first international departure.
- Eligible students must provide valid proof of their student identity, which includes an International Student Identity Card (ISIC), student number, student visa, or other relevant documents issued by the education institution such as an admission letter or acceptance confirmation. When booking online, eligible students need to enter a number from one of the documents above, or if applicable, the issue date of other relevant documents issued by the education institution.
- If passengers are unable to present the required proof upon request, but wish to travel on the same flight, they will need to purchase a new non-student fare ticket, which is subject to seat availability. Passengers may apply for a refund on the fully or partially unused student fare ticket, subject to applicable refund charges (if any).
- To enjoy this Offer, passengers must book a flight ticket through the official website https://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_SA/flights/offers/global-student-fare.html (“Eligible Tickets”), enter the discount code SASTUDENT at the discount code field on the booking page. Any request to apply the discount code after checkout will not be accepted. The travel period of the Eligible Tickets must fall within 17 November 2025 to 31 October 2026 (Saudi Arabia time), both dates inclusive (“Travel Period”).
- The discount code is eligible for use on Cathay Pacific marketed and operated flight tickets from Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) to selected destinations only, which are set out on the promotion webpage here https://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_SA/offers/global-student-fare.html.
- The discount code of “SASTUDENT” applies to a maximum of five passengers per booking.
- The discount code cannot be used on open-jaw, stopover, multi-city, package or Cathay Pacific mobile app and other channels.
- The Offer will not apply to fuel surcharges, taxes, cancellation or change fees/penalties, administrative fees or other miscellaneous charges.
- The Offer is subject to the following restrictions:
(a) The Offer does not apply to fare class “O”.
(b) Fare discounts under this Offer apply only to fare classes “D, P, I, R, E, B, H, K, M, L”, and “V”.
(c) Extra checked baggage allowance is available only for Business Class, Premium Economy, Economy Flex, and Economy Essential (US & Canada routes only). No extra baggage allowance applies to Economy Light.
(d) Complimentary rebooking is limited as follows: Economy Light and Economy Essential tickets are entitled to one-time complimentary rebooking; Economy Flex, Premium Economy, and Business Class tickets are entitled to unlimited times of complimentary rebooking. - Children and infant discount is not applicable to this Offer.
- This Offer is valid all year round. To the extent permitted by law, this Offer may be cancelled, suspended, modified or terminated by Cathay Pacific at any time.
- Airfares differ according to destination.
- Flights may be booked for departure up to 360 days in advance. Passengers can check the opening date on the flight search panel at www.cathaypacific.com and make booking subject to permitted travel period.
- Tickets must originate and be issued in Saudi Arabia.
- Rebooking fees apply and are as follows:
The first rebooking fee is waived for Economy Light and Economy Essential tickets; subsequent rebookings are subject to a fee of USD50 (Economy Light) or USD20 (Economy Essential) per ticket. Rebooking fees are waived for Economy Flex, Premium Economy and Business Class tickets. All changes must be made before the scheduled departure date. - Cancellation fees apply and are as follows:
- Destinations in Asia: USD150 (Economy Light), USD100 (Economy Essential), USD80 (Economy Flex, Premium Economy and Business Class) per wholly unused ticket only. For partially used tickets, refund applied only if residual is available after deducting the applicable fare (same or higher class code) for the flown sector plus handling fee per ticket.
- All other destinations: USD230 (Economy Light), USD180 (Economy Essential), USD100 (Economy Flex, Premium Economy and Business Class) per wholly unused ticket only. For partially used tickets, refund applied only if residual is available after deducting the applicable fare (same or higher class code) for the flown sector plus handling fee per ticket.
- No-show fees apply and are as follow:
- USD200 per ticket
- Premium Economy Class may not be available on all flight segments. Where passengers choose to switch their booking after ticket issuance to a flight not offering Premium Economy Class, Economy Class seat may be offered and no fare refund of the difference will be given.
- Fares displayed include taxes and carrier-imposed surcharges. All fares, government taxes and fees, and surcharges are subject to change at any time. For ticket cancellations, where applicable, the Hong Kong Passenger Security Charge, the Hong Kong Air Passenger Departure Tax, and the Hong Kong International Airport Construction Fee will be refunded without any administration fees.
- The fares detailed in this Offer are subject to limited availability and offered on a first come, first served basis.
- The discount code may not be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers or discounts, unless otherwise specified.
- This Offer is non-transferrable, non-exchangeable, and may not be redeemed for cash.
- Flight bookings made between 3 June 2024 and 11 February 2026 [Saudi Arabia time] (both dates inclusive) with the discount code from this campaign are not eligible for Cathay member-exclusive 24-hour free cancellation. - In case of any dispute arising out of this Promotion, the decision of Cathay Pacific shall be final and conclusive.
