    Wi-Fi is enabled on all of our Airbus A350 and A321neo aircraft, and we’re progressively rolling out Wi-Fi on our Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 aircraft.

    Internet access packages

    Once the aircraft is at or above 10,000 feet, you can get internet access to email, browse the web, shop online and keep in touch with others via your own Wi-Fi equipped device (tablet, laptop, mobile phone). Choose from the options below or enjoy entertainment on the inflight entertainment monitors:

    • For flight times of six hours or less at USD12.95
    • For flight times above six hours at USD19.95
    • One hour continuous use on all flights at USD9.95

    For flight times of six hours or less, Message Pass is available at USD3.95. You can send and receive text messages on Wi-Fi using apps such as WhatsApp, iMessage, Facebook Messenger, LINE and WeChat.

    You can also connect via Wi-Fi, SMS or data roaming.

    SMS and data roaming services

    When you are onboard, you can enable data roaming on your mobile device to send and receive SMS, as well as email and browse Internet. Roaming can be activated after take-off once the aircraft reaches 20,000 feet.

    Please note the following:

    • SMS and data roaming are not available in the United States
    • SMS and data roaming are available on A350 aircraft only

    Roaming charges will vary and may be applied directly by your local mobile service provider. Please contact your provider for charges.

    Wi-Fi roaming

    Once the aircraft is at or above 10,000 feet, you can get internet access by selecting a roaming partner in the portal. You will need to log in to enjoy internet access during the flight. Currently, Telekom Roaming partner is available onboard.

    Roaming charges will vary and may be applied directly by your roaming partner.

    Which electronic devices can I use during the flight?

    The following can be used inflight, as well as during taxi, take-off, cruising, and landing.

    Wi-Fi or Bluetooth-enabled devices should be switched off or set to flight mode for the duration of your flight.

    On A350 flights, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can be turned on while flight mode is in use. When the “No Mobile Sign” is off, airplane mode can be switched off.

    The following can be used inflight, but must be switched off and stowed away for taxi, take-off and landing:

    • Laptops

    Please note that Wi-Fi or other connectivity capacities will need to be switched off inflight at all times.

    Prohibited for use

    Portable electronic devices that are prohibited for use at all times include:

    • Personal appliances, such as air purifiers, smokeless cigarettes and electric massagers.
    • Domestic appliances, such as power boards, humidifiers, heaters, electric blankets, hair dryers and electrical inverters/converters.
    • Radios and transmitters, such as televisions, AM or FM or digital radios, walkie-talkies, amateur radio/transceivers, citizen band (CB) radios/scanners, and remote controlled devices/toys.
    • Network and connecting devices, such as wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) devices.
